Now occupying a significant part in the activity of the National Scene, Le Cinéma, part of the movement « Art et Essai », develop a policy allowing the public to discover the living art of cinema in its diversity, around the most innovative works not to mention the documentary film.

Training of the young audience

Le Cinéma favours welcoming young audience notably thanks to the devices of film education that are "Schools, Colleges and High school students in Cinema”.

Le Cinéma in the Town

Several actions of partnership are conducted jointly with the City of Narbonne such as "Ciné-Vacances" as well as local cultural associations as the Académie du Temps Libre or the Ciné-Club.

The Gourmet Sessions

Once a quarter, the Cinéma organizes a thematic evening around a country.

Two movies are shown at 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm with as an intermission a gourmet break around a culinary specialty of the chosen country.

The ciné-club of the MJC proposes, since more than 50 years, a program of recent films from all countries (V.O.), quality French moviers, classic films to rediscover, films from local directors etc.

The ciné-club also proposes : "Le p'tit ciné-club" : 4 to 5 movies a year, on Saturday afternoon for a young audience, program for school pupils: movies chosen specifically, with an educational coaching from pre-school to high school, even beyond (BTS, IFSI...), "Everybody at the cinema " : 4 films with free entry Thursday afternoon, open to everybody and promoted by the social fabric of the city, "Plaisirs de cinéma" : cycles of 5 films (mostly shown at the Cinéma) on a theme, closed by a conference, confrences about movies, its history, its genres, the analysis of the movie..., "Cinemas, life !" : a national competition for short films, of which young people are the jury - operation with the Judicial Protection of youth and closed educational Center.

Member of several networks (Fédération des ciné-clubs de la Méditerranée, Cultures du Cœur (link), etc.), the ciné-club also participates in local cultural events or departmental (Rencontres Cinématographiques de l'Aude "Et ça vous fait Rire", etc.) through partnership with the communities (notably the City of Narbonne with, for example, the event Eustache/Imber), cultural contributors, associations and ONG (Amnesty International, etc.).

The ciné-club forges partnerships:

- With communities and institutions : city of Narbonne, Agglomeration community Le Grand Narbonne, DRAC Languedoc-Roussillon, ACSÉ, Conseil Général de l'Aude (via the association audoise of the ciné-clubs)...

- With cultural contribitors : The Cinéma / Théâtre Scène Nationale de Narbonne, les Amis du Cinoch' de Carcassonne, Ciném'Aude...

- With associations and  ONG : Amnesty International, L'Arche, La Maison des Potes, L'Académie du Temps Libre, CIDFF, Secours Catholique...

- With sections of the MJC of Narbonne : Art history, cinema reading, théâtre des quatre saisons...

The ciné-club is part of networks:

- It is part of the Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture de Narbonne, itself members of the fédération régionale of the MJC Languedoc-Roussillon, which is member of the Confédération of the MJC in France.

- Member of the Fédération of the ciné-clubs of the Mediterranean

- And also of the association of the ciné-clubs from Aude.

- It gives seats for Culture du Cœur
