Museums
The projects of the Museums of Narbonne revolve around several axes :

Conserve, restore, develop, present to the public, pay for temporary exhibits in France or in a foreign country, the artistic and archaeological collections offered by collectors, by artists, by archaeologist, or given by the State or bought by the town of Narbonne, like as many irreplaceable testimonies of the human genius and work. Briefly: ensure the durability for transmission purpose through the centuries to come.

Organize and present temporary exhibitions.

Make and publish catalogs and publications on the permanent collections of the Museums as well as the temporary exhibitions.

Put in place important projects for museums in partnership with the institutions : prefiguration of a Museum of the Romanité which opening is scheduled in 2014 and gathering archaeological collections currently in different Museums and warehouses of the Town of Narbonne (Archeological museum, Musée Lapidaire, Horreum romain, Crypte Saint-Paul, Réserve du Museum archéologique, Dépôt archéologique de Sainte-Rose).
