Narbonne is part of the Agglomeration community "Le Grand Narbonne"

"Le Grand Narbonne" has 87 278 inhabitants divided in 18 towns (legal population 2006, INSEE 1st January 2009). Narbonne is located on the Canal de la Robine (classified in the World Heritage of UNESCO).

The city got awarded :

• The label Art and History City,

• Ville Fleurie (with flowers): 2 flowers since 2002,

• Sports City,

• City which attracts Tourists : 2 stars in the guide Michelin,

• Label France Station Nautique,

• Seaside resort which attracts tourists, 

• Pavillon Bleu awareded to Narbonne-Plage since 1988,

• Ranked "Clen ports" (for boating and Narbonne-Plage),

• Award of "Rubans du Développement Durable" in 2006

• 4@ at the Labels Villes Internet in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
